Adria Airways Summer Flight Schedule

The summer flight schedule, valid from 31 March 2013, will see Adria operate 176 regular weekly flights to 18 destinations from Ljubljana and 3 destinations from Pristina. There will be four flights daily from Ljubljana to Frankfurt, three flights daily to Munich and Zurich and two flights daily to Vienna, as well as thirteen flights a week to Brussels, eleven to Skopje, ten to Tirana, eight to Moscow. There will be one flight a day to Istanbul, Paris, and Pristina, as well as six flights a week to Amsterdam, five to Belgrade and Sarajevo, four to Copenhagen, three to Podgorica, two to Manchester and one to Split.

Scheduled Pristina-Frankfurt and Pristina-Munich flights have been a part of the Adria flight schedule since December 2010. The airline also operates two charter flights every week between Pristina and Verona in Italy.

In the summer season, Adria Airways will partner with travel agencies to offer charter flights from Ljubljana to a number of popular holiday destinations, particularly in the Mediterranean. There will be weekly flights from Ljubljana to the following airports: Heraclion, Rhodes, Kos, Santorini, Karpathos, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Skiathos, Samos, Chios, Lezbos and Lefkas/Preveza in Greece; Menorca, Palma de Mallorca and Tenerife in Spain, Antalya in Turkey. Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt are the only charter destinations that Adria Airways serves all year round.

In December 2004, Adria Airways became a member of the largest global airline network, Star Alliance. In cooperation with our partners, we provide access to a network of 27 airlines offering more than 21,900 daily flights to 1,329 destinations in 194 countries. Passengers enjoy the benefits offered by Star Alliance members, such as: check-in to the final destination, a recognised status, entry to airport lounges, collecting and redeeming frequent flyer points or miles in the framework of 19 frequent flyer programmes.

Take a Weekend Break with Adria's "Top Offer of the Week"

For the weekend, passengers will be able to fly from Ljubljana to one of the cities in Europe that is on Adria's flight schedule.

"At Adria Airways, our goal is to be even more flexible when it comes to our pricing policy and to enable as many people as possible to travel to other European cities. Adria Airways is Again Flying to Paris

On 2 April 2013, Adria Airways will again start flying to Paris, to the Charles de Gaulle Airport, according to the summer flight schedule. The Company decided on daily flights to offer passengers an even better product. Flights will be available on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning and on Tuesday and Sunday afternoon/evening, enabling better use of the trip over the weekend. The exact flight schedule is given below.

Star Alliance introduces enhanced Asia Airpass

“The new Asia Airpass, with its extended routing possibilities, reflects the growing desire for travellers to explore the full Asian continent on an Airpass journey, a need which was not fully met in the past,” said Horst Findeisen, Vice President Commercial and Business Development at Star Alliance.

The Asia Airpass is valid for a minimum of three flights and a maximum of 10, with a choice of over 235 destinations. Further countries that may be visited on an Asia Airpass trip are Cambodia, China including Hong Kong SAR , Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The enhancement of the Asian Airpass form part of a wider streamlining of the Star Alliance fare products. The revised portfolio offers the following seven fare products:

Asia Airpass

China Airpass

Europe Airpass

North America Airpass

Circle Pacific Fare

Round the World Fare

“These fares allow customers to maximise their travel opportunities on Star Alliance member airlines and demonstrate the value of a strong collective regional network”, commented Findeisen.

Similar products are available from our member airlines’ which can be booked by Star Alliance customers looking for regional travel. For example. ANA offers a Japan Airpass, TAM Airlines offers a Brazil Airpass, Thai has a Thailand Airpass and United offers a Micronesia Airpass.

Airpass

A Star Alliance airpass allows customers to travel across a geographic region making use of flights offered by the various Star Alliance member airlines. The fares are calculated on a per coupon basis and offer better value for money than buying individual airline tickets. Airpasses can be purchased in conjunction with any international return ticket for travel into the area on a Star Alliance member airline.

Circle Fare
The Circle Pacific Fare is designed to facilitate travel between destinations across the Pacific Rim using various Star Alliance member carriers. Customers select the destinations offered to create a personalised circular itinerary. The fare is calculated by the total distance travelled and cabin class, whereby passengers have the choice of purchasing First, Business or Economy Class. Travel needs to begin and end in the same country.

Round the World Fare

In addition, Star Alliance will continue to offer its popular Round the World Fare, which enables customers to make use of the entire Star Alliance network to travel around the globe. Compared to single point-to-point tickets the fare is attractively priced, with levels set according to distance and class of travel. Customers can choose between three mileage levels 29,000, 34,000 or 39,000 miles. The fare is available for travel in First, Business or Economy Class. Tickets are valid for one year and permit anywhere between three and 15 stopovers. Additionally, a Round the World special fare is on offer, which is only available for travel in Economy Class, has a maximum mileage of 26,000, needs to be purchased seven days prior to departure and permits three to five stopovers.

Star Alliance Book & Fly

“Star Alliance Book & Fly” in an online booking tool available at www.staralliance.com/en/booking/book-and-fly /which allows customers to plan their Round the World and Circle Pacific Fare journeys from the comfort of their own home, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Bookings can be made anywhere in the world and tickets are automatically issued electronically. The booking engine is currently available in English, German and Japanese.

New Company Management

This is to notify you that at its regular session held on 20 December 2012, the supervisory board of Adria Airways d.d. unanimously adopted the decision to recall the President of the Management Board & CEO and Accountable Manager Mr Klemen Bostjancic for economic and business reasons and appointed the previous commercial director Mr Mark Anzur as the new President of the Management Board & CEO and Accountable Manager (following the approval of the Civil Aviation Agency regarding his acceptability to perform the function of Accountable Manager). Mr Anzur will perform the tasks and duties of board chairman until a public call for a new President of the Management Board has been issued, but for no longer than six months. The supervisory board will publish a public call for applications for a new President of the Management Board within 45 days.

Mr Anzur’s main work experiences before joining Adria Airways relate to management positions in A.T. Kearney and Bramac International. We wish to stress the following areas of his past work: international sales, marketing, the development and implementation of various marketing and corporate strategies, customer relations, project management and development on new markets.

Calin Rovinescu elected as new Chairman of the Star Alliance Chief Executive Board

SHENZHEN, CHINA – November 30^th, 2012 – Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Air Canada, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Star Alliance Chief Executive Board (CEB). He succeeds Rob Fyfe, CEO Air New Zealand, who held the post for the last two years.

“On behalf of all Star Alliance members I thank Rob for his personal commitment, support and leadership in driving our alliance forward and in strengthening relations between the alliance partners. Indeed, we have all benefited from Rob's presence as Chairman of the CEB. Following a highly successful seven-year tenure as CEO of Air New Zealand, Rob has elected to retire at year-end and while we are very sad to see him leave, we know that his contributions to the Star Alliance will endure.” Rovinescu said.

In his role as CEB Chairman, Rovinescu will conduct the two annual board meetings and act as the designated spokesperson for the board.

Reflecting on his tenure, Fyfe commented: "I have been proud to lead the board over the past two years. The Alliance needs careful steering in these testing times for the aviation industry and Calin is an excellent choice to lead the group through the challenges to come."

Rovinescu said he was looking forward to working with the board over the next two years to deepen the alliance and pursue shared priorities. These would include strengthening the global network, focusing on providing a seamless travel experience and maintaining the loyalty of customers through superior service and convenience, he added.

"Partnerships are essential to succeed in this business and few partnerships have been as beneficial to their members and customers as Star Alliance," Rovinescu said.

"It is my determination to see that we continue to foster commercial cooperation among member carriers to further strengthen our position as the leading global airline network.”

The CEB is the controlling body of the Alliance and each of the 27 member airlines is represented by their respective CEO. The CEB provides the overall strategic direction of the Alliance, approves the appropriate funding and votes on the admittance of new member airlines.

Shenzhen Airlines joins Star Alliance

SHENZHEN, China – November 29th, 2012 – Shenzhen Airlines today became the latest carrier to join the Star Alliance network. At a ceremony held at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, Mark Schwab, CEO Star Alliance, welcomed the airline into the family on behalf on the Alliance’s Chief Executive Board (CEB).

“Shenzhen Airlines is China’s fifth largest carrier and strengthens the Star Alliance presence in China and across Asia. Our customers now benefit from improved access throughout the economically important Pearl River Delta and across southern China. Shenzhen Airlines at the same time gains access to a global network with enhanced benefits for its passengers; truly a win-win situation,” said Mark Schwab.

Adding Shenzhen Airlines to the network is part of Star Alliance’s strategy of improving access to current and future growth markets, thus providing the international traveller with more destinations and flights. In the case of China, the foundation for this strategy was set many years ago, by those Star Alliance member carriers who have been successfully serving this market for several decades. In December 2007 the Alliance added China’s Flag carrier Air China to the network.

The airline adds some 400 daily flights to 70 destinations to the Star Alliance network. By the same token, the FFP members of all other Star Alliance member carriers now receive mileage credits for eligible flights on Shenzhen Airlines and can redeem miles for travel on the Chinese airline. In addition, miles credited for flights on Shenzhen Airlines count towards achieving Star Alliance Gold and Silver Status. This entitles customers to enhanced benefits when travelling on the Star Alliance network, which include among others, increased luggage allowance as well as access to more than 1,000 lounges for Gold Card holders.

Star Alliance offers numerous fare products for both corporate and leisure customers and Shenzhen Airlines now sells and participates in a selection of these. Investigation by the European Commission

Today, on 20 November 2012, Adira Airways was unofficially informed that the European Commission has opened an investigation procedure into the state’s measures for the benefit of the company from 2007 to 2011. As we have been in regular contact with representatives of the Republic of Slovenia in the recent period concerning this matter and indirectly with the European Commission, today’s decision comes as no surprise to the company. We would like to stress that it is in the interest of Adria Airways to prove that all the measures so far were carried out in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Adria Airways believes that the capital increase between 2007 and 2011 and the sale of shares of the subsidiary Adria Airways Tehnika d.d. do not represent state aid as all the investments met the criteria of the Market Economy Investor Principle (MEIP).

Throughout the entire investigation procedure, which the company estimates will take more than a year, Adria Airways will provide unlimited aid and support to those involved in order to prove the legitimacy of the measures being investigated.

Adria Airways Winter Flight Schedule

Thanks to its secure membership in Star Alliance, the global airline association, Adria Airways is able to maintain its business policy of a network airline offering global services.

The winter flight schedule, valid from 28 October 2012, will see Adria operate 169 regular weekly flights to 15 destinations from Ljubljana and 3 destinations from Pristina. There will be four flights daily from Ljubljana to Frankfurt and three flights daily to Vienna, Munich and Zurich, as well as thirteen flights a week to Brussels and eleven to Skopje. There will be one flight a day to Moscow, Istanbul, Podgorica, Pristina and Tirana, as well as six flights a week to Sarajevo, five to Belgrade, four to Amsterdam and three to Podgorica.

Regular flights will continue in the winter flight schedule between Pristina and Frankfurt, Munich and Verona; there will be six flights a week to Frankfurt, five to Munich and two to Verona.

Adria will continue to work with travel agencies to provide chartered flights from Ljubljana to Egypt (Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada) in the 2012 winter season.
