Luggage
Adults and children over two travelling in economy class on scheduled flights are allowed up to 20 kg of luggage, in business class up to 30 kg and on scheduled charter flights up to 20 kg.
For flights to the US and Canada the piece system applies: passengers are allowed to take two pieces of checked luggage and one carry-on item within permitted dimensions and weight.
For the safety of your luggage, please clearly mark each piece of luggage with the passenger's name and address both inside and outside.
Carry-On Luggage
On Adria flights you are permitted to have one piece of carry-on luggage, such as a small travel bag, a laptop computer or a briefcase. The combined dimensions of carry-on luggage may not exceed 115 cm (e.g., 55 x 40 x 20 cm). The maximum allowable weight of carry-on luggage is 8 kg.
In addition to carry-on luggage, you can bring a coat, umbrella, crutches, camera, binoculars, a reasonable amount of reading material, a bassinet or collapsible stroller for a child, and a reasonable amount of food for an infant.
We advise you to put the following items only in carry-on luggage:
- Valuables, such as money and jewellery
- Cameras
- Mobile phones
- Medicines
- Important business documents, keys
- Essential personal items
- Laptop computers.
This will help you avoid possible inconveniences if your checked luggage does not arrive at your destination along with you.
Carry-on luggage must be of such a size and shape that it can be stowed beneath the seat or in the overhead luggage bin. Based on the type of aircraft or the space available in the cabin for storing luggage, there are sometimes additional restrictions. Occasionally passengers are asked to turn over large carry-on items when boarding the aircraft; these are returned immediately when disembarking from the aircraft.
If you have valuables, or sensitive or breakable items, in carry-on luggage that you are asked to turn over, we advise you to remove these items from your luggage before turning it over.
The new rules apply from Monday, 6th. November 2006 at all airports in the EU and in Norway, Iceland and Switzerland until further notice.
