These Free Baggage Allowances and prices for extra baggage apply when you check in with our ticket at our counter for our direct or online flights.
For interline flights the following steps will determine the rules/rates to be applied in carriage of baggage:
- If the published baggage provisions among all participating carriers are the same, these provisions will apply.
- Where the one or more published baggage provisions differ between participating carriers, apply any common povisions and where provisions differ the published baggage provisions of the Most Significant Carrier (MSC). (In case of code share flights this will be the Operating Carrier, unless that carrier publishes a rule stipulating that it will be the Marketing Carrier).
- If the MSC does not publish baggage provisions for the journey concerned, apply the published baggage provisions of the operating carrier.
- If the operating carrier does not publish baggage provisions for the interline journey concerned, apply the published baggage provisions of each operating airline sector-by-sector.
- Exception for tickets, where the origin or destination (furthest point) is in the USA: Pursuant to the new customer protection law by the US Department of Transportation, on itineraries involving multiple carriers, the baggage allowances and fees of the of the first carrier on interline flights or the first marketing carrier on codeshare flights will apply to all subsequent flights in the itinerary. Carry-On Baggage
On Adria flights you are permitted to have one piece of carry-on baggage, such as a small travel bag, a laptop computer or a briefcase. A piece of hand baggage may not be larger than 55 x 40 x 23 cm and may not weigh more than 8 kg.
In addition to carry-on baggage, you can bring a coat, umbrella, crutches, camera, binoculars, a reasonable amount of reading material, a bassinet or collapsible stroller for a child, and a reasonable amount of food for an infant.
We advise you to put the following items only in carry-on baggage:
This will help you avoid possible inconveniences if your checked baggage does not arrive at your destination along with you.
Carry-on baggage must be of such a size and shape that it can be stowed beneath the seat or in the overhead luggage bin.
Based on the type of aircraft or the space available in the cabin for storing luggage, there are sometimes additional restrictions. Occasionally passengers are asked to turn over large carry-on items when boarding the aircraft; these are returned immediately when disembarking from the aircraft.
If you have valuables, or sensitive or breakable items, in carry-on baggage that you are asked to turn over, we advise you to remove these items from your baggage before turning it over.
