Cash payment for plane tickets

Author: Adria Airways

Adria Airways continues to upgrade its services for passengers. Customers will soon be able to pay for flights booked through the call centre, and later also for tickets booked online. The service will initially be available to passengers in Germany, and further accessible also other countries, including Slovenia. For this purpose, the airline company partnered up with the payment provider Barzahlen.

„The demand for cash payment among our passengers is quite high“, says Dr. Arno Schuster, CEO at Adria Airways. „Especially for those who don’t have a credit card or don’t want to use it, paying plane tickets at a supermarket is definitely an added value. Shortly, we’ll also add cash payment for tickets that are booked online. This way, we will combine the flexibility of online booking with the benefits of paying offline“, Schuster notes.

With Barzahlen option, customers are purchasing their tickets as usual. Afterwards, they’ll receive a printable payment slip or a text message with a barcode that is scanned at the cash point. After having paid, they receive their ticket.
