Airport strike in Germany

Author: Adria Airways

Adria Airways informs passengers travelling to or from Germany on Thursday 27 March 2014 that it will be operating flights normally according to the timetable despite the strike by airport staff (members of the Ver.di union). The effect on flight operations is expected to be minimal.

German airline Lufthansa has informed Adria that as a result of the strike it has cancelled the majority of its domestic and European flights and even some intercontinental flights scheduled for tomorrow, 27 March 2014, between 03.30 hours and 14.30 hours. For more information passengers are requested to check the status of their flight on the airline's website

Adria Airways will operate all its flights to and from Germany according to the planned timetable, although lengthy delays may occur with departures from airports in Germany as a result of the strike by airport staff. The following flights are scheduled for the period of the strike:

  • JP116 and JP117; Ljubljana–Frankfurt–Ljubljana
  • JP102 and JP103; Ljubljana–Munich–Ljubljana
  • JP114 and JP115; Pristina–Frankfurt–Pristina

In view of the possibility of cancellation of Lufthansa flights, all passengers whose journeys do not terminate in Frankfurt or Munich should contact our call centre, where they will be able to obtain all necessary information about their onward journey to their final destination.

Information is available to passengers on the following numbers (+386 if calling from outside Slovenia):

  • 01 369 1010 (between 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.)
  • 04 259 4245,
  • 04 259 4252 and
  • 04 259 4370.

We request all passengers to ensure that they arrive at their departure airport in good time to check in for their flight.

Adria Airways will do everything in its power to ensure that passengers' baggage reaches its destination. A strike by airport staff is an extraordinary circumstance over which the carrier has no influence, and is therefore not liable for loss resulting from delayed baggage.

Adria Airways thanks all its passengers for their understanding.
